Activity Name: HIV Prevention Project Date : 20th April, 2023

HIV/TB Agency, Information and Service Activity (AIS) supported the HIV Prevention Project by Myanmar Positive Group at Hlegu KPSC in Hlegu Township, Yangon from October 2022.
The objectives of the collaboration are as follows:
- To expand the HIV prevention services to ensure populations at risk for HIV are reached, tested, and linked to TB and HIV services
- To expand secondary distribution of prevention commodities at different service outlets
- To provide Health Education sessions about HIV and STI prevention and treatment at KPSC and in field/community
- To provide community-based testing services and HIV testing services at KPSC
- To support to access ART enrollment.
- To support clients psychologically by pre-test and post-test counselling
- To provide Index-Testing Services
So what :HIV testing services to 84 clients and 1 positive cases was found out. But the patient refused to go HIV confirmation test and Hlegu team was trying to convince him. Hlegu team planned to go mobile testing on April 2023. Unfortunately, the clients were busy with their business. So, we postponed it and plan to go on May 2023. Peer Gathering Event was done on April 5th 2023. The Coordination meeting with SSR wasn’t done for April 2023 because of Thingyan public holidays. We plan to meet withSSR on coming month.
